Scott Sanborn is President and CEO of Lending Club. Appointed in June 2016, he was charged by the Board of Directors with transforming the company and bringing a heightened degree of transparency and disciplined growth to Lending Club operations.
A six year veteran of the company, Scott previously held the roles of President, Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Operations Officer. He helped lead the company through a prolonged period of triple digit growth that led to its 2014 IPO, and has been a driving force in the management and development of the organization.
Before joining Lending Club, Scott was the Chief Marketing and Revenue Officer for eHealth Insurance, a publicly traded ecommerce company, where he helped create double digit growth in revenue and new customer acquisition. His earlier roles included having been President of RedEnvelope, Inc., an e-commerce and catalogue retailer of upscale gifts, and Senior Vice President of Marketing for the Home Shopping Network, a television and internet retailer of consumer products.
Scott holds a BS from Tufts University.
As Chief Operations Officer, Corporate Development & Strategy, Sameer is responsible for Lending Club’s operations and corporate strategy, including managing our customer support and our customer-facing operations.
Before joining Lending Club, Sameer was a partner and leader of the Digital Banking & Consumer Credit practice at McKinsey & Company in London, UK. During his 11 years with McKinsey, he advised global and emerging financial services institutions on key initiatives in retail banking, consumer credit, digital payments, and risk management. He is a well-respected thought leader, regularly speaking at banking and Fintech conferences, as well as authoring documents on financial services and credit card issues, trends, and seminal financial service sector topics.
Prior experience includes several years in technology roles at Cambridge Technology Partners and Integral, where he implemented solutions for financial services players.
Sameer holds a MBA in strategy and entrepreneurship from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BTech in chemical engineering and computer science from the Indian Institute of Technology in New Delhi.
As the Chief Financial Officer, Carrie is responsible for Lending Club’s financial management, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax, fund accounting, trading and settlement, and investor relations.
Prior to Lending Club, Carrie was the Treasurer for The Charles Schwab Corporation, a leading provider of securities, brokerage, banking, and financial advisory services to individual investors and independent investment advisors. Carrie also served as the Chief Financial Officer for Schwab Bank, a bank she helped launch in 2003.
Before joining Schwab, Carrie held a variety of financial positions at Chevron in financial planning and analysis, management reporting, accounting, credit, and treasury. During her tenure, Carrie helped launch the Chevron Credit Bank, which offered proprietary credit cards, and served on its board of directors and as its Chief Financial Officer.
Carrie was named one of the "Most Powerful Women in Finance" by American Banker in 2015 and named the "2015 Financial Woman of the Year" by the Financial Women of San Francisco. The San Francisco Business Times awarded Carrie the "Bay Area CFO of the Year for Emerging Companies" in 2013, recognized her on its "Forever Influential List" in 2015, and also listed her as one of the "Most Influential Women in the Bay Area" over the last 4 years. Carrie is a member of the Financial Women of San Francisco, Financial Executives International, CNBC's CFO Council and Watermark's CFO network.
Carrie received both her BS in finance and accounting and her MBA degree from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.

As CCO, Sandeep is responsible for credit strategy and overall credit risk management at Lending Club.
Sandeep comes to Lending Club following a 15-year career at Capital One, where most recently he was Assistant Chief Credit Officer at Capital One Bank (Credit Risk Management) and Venture Partner (Capital One Ventures). Prior to that Sandeep held a variety of roles requiring expertise in strategy, credit risk management, marketing, product development, and underwriting across several lines of business including consumer and small business credit card, auto lending, and mortgage and home equity lending.
Sandeep holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad.
As the Chief Technology Officer, John is responsible for leading Lending Club's technology development and operations.
John brings more than 20 years of experience in executive-level technology roles in the financial services industry, including C-suite roles at three public companies. He previously served as head of global development at Visa, Inc., where he led program management and information services, including Web application development, data warehousing, business intelligence and mobile development, and oversaw all new technology initiatives for the company. He also served as CTO for the full-service brokerage arm of Morgan Stanley, where he directed the platform for all Morgan Stanley Dean Witter retail brokerage electronic commerce efforts. His experience also includes executive and senior-level management positions at leading financial service technology companies Green Dot Corporation, Envestnet, Inc. and SunGard Data Systems.
John holds a BS in computer engineering from the University of Michigan.
As Lending Club’s General Counsel, Jason handles all regulatory and legal matters with an emphasis on securities and banking.
Prior to Lending Club, Jason was the General Counsel and VP, Partnerships for Corefino, Inc., an outsourced accounting solution and technology provider. Jason has also been a corporate partner for the international law firms of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo P.C. and Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal, LLP and he was an associate for over 9 years with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, PC.
Jason was named Best Corporate Counsel, Private Companies by the Silicon Valley Business Journal and San Francisco Business Times in 2014. He holds a BA in Economics from U.C. Davis, an MA in International Relations and Public Policy (China emphasis) from U.C. San Diego and a JD from The University of San Francisco School of Law.

As Chief People Officer, Angela is responsible for Lending Club’s human resources, as well as all things related to the people environment.
Angela has spent more than 15 years developing human resource and talent strategies for both publicly and privately held companies. Prior to joining Lending Club, Angela served as the Chief Administrative Officer for Ask.com, where she was responsible for global talent development, human resources and facilities. She played an integral role in transforming the company’s culture, leading Ask.com to win a Best Places to Work award in 2011. Before her tenure at Ask.com, Angela worked at Openwave and served as a consulting analyst for William M. Mercer Human Resources Consulting.
Angela holds a BA in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley.
As Chief Audit and Compliance Officer at Lending Club, Tim is responsible for independent assurance over risks and operational efficiency opportunities as well as compliance activities. He has over 30 years of experience in audit, risk management, regulatory compliance, IT, business transformation and optimization, operational and financial controls implementation.
Tim began his career in public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers and has since held roles at Charles Schwab, Levi Strauss, Freddie Mac and now Lending Club. Tim is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Financial Services Auditor and Arbitrator for FINRA.
Tim holds a BS in accounting from Boston College.
Patrick Dunne is the Chief Capital Officer at Lending Club, responsible for overseeing Lending Club’s Investor Group. Dunne will be responsible for managing Lending Club’s Investor Group that spans individual investors, strategic partnerships with retail distribution partners, banks and other institutional investors including asset managers, pensions, foundations and endowments.
Prior to joining Lending Club, he was a Managing Director and Head of Global Markets & Investments for iShares and also served as the Head of BlackRock's San Francisco office. He was a member of BlackRock's Global Operating Committee, Americas Executive Committee, and the iShares Global Executive Committee.
Patrick was the Global Chief Operating Officer for iShares, and his service with BlackRock dates back to 1991, including his years with Barclays Global Investors (BGI), which merged with BlackRock in 2009. At BGI, he was responsible for the Global Securities Lending and Cash Management businesses. Prior to moving to that role in 2003, he was the Chief Operating Officer of BGI's affiliated brokerage business in Europe and was involved with business strategy for the brokerage and transition services business globally. During his tenure, Patrick has held various positions including leading the fixed income trading department in the United States and managing global fixed income and equity portfolios.
Patrick earned a BA degree in economics from the University of California at Berkeley in 1991 and an MS degree in management from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2000.
